The video below features footage of former NXT Champion Sami Zayn’s return during tonight’s NXT tour of the United Kingdom.
Zayn, who has been sidelined since May with a shoulder injury, made his return during tonight’s NXT live event in Newcastle. Triple H confirmed earlier today during the NXT Takeover conference call that Zayn would wrestle during tonight’s event.

Zayn will be present on the whole tour, but will not wrestle at next week’s NXT Takeover London live special. He is currently scheduled to challenge NXT champion Finn Balor for the title tonight, and he is also scheduled to face Finn and Baron Corbin in a three-way encounter at Saturday’s show in Sheffield.
