We previously reported WWE is possibly dropping the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view in February and replacing it with an event called WWE Fast Lane.

PWInsider is reporting the plans may already be in motion, as WWE applied to trademark the name “WWE Fast Lane” recently.

It’s rumored that WWE will move the Elimination Chamber show to June to replace Payback, and will help sell the summer events, which typically do well financially, like Money In The Bank and Summerslam.

WWE Files Trademark

Speaking of trademarks, WWE also applied for one on “The New Day”, for what is being called a wrestling program title, according to PWInsider. It’s possible that the name is for a WWE Studios movie and not a WWE wrestling show.

WWE has been applying for a number of recent trademarks, including the two previously mentioned ones, as well as a possible new in-ring name for Kevin Steen.
