By joining The Judgment Day, Rhea Ripley has the opportunity to learn from a legend and work with one of her closest friends.
“The Nightmare” joined the faction when she helped Edge defeat AJ Styles at WWE WrestleMania Backlash. The next night on WWE RAW, she was officially introduced as the newest member of the stable, which also includes Damian Priest.
During an appearance on 99.5 WKDQ, Ripley described how she’s looking forward to picking Edge’s brain and joked that he could help her accomplish one of her short-term goals — winning the Money in the Bank Ladder Match.
“Edge is such an amazing talent, and he’s been so many different matches and has done so much stuff in this company, and I think that I’m gonna learn a lot from him in the next few months, if not years,” said Ripley. “So I’m very excited to be working with him and I do he could definitely think he could help me climb up a ladder really, really quickly.”
The former WWE RAW Women’s Champion also noted that she has been friends with Priest, and she recalled how she once wore his pants to the ring during a live event when she lost her gear.
“Damian and I, we’ve been mates for a long time,” said Ripley. “We’ve talked about doing intergender tag matches for the longest time because we are pretty much the same human. Our gear is very, very similar, the way that we look at life is pretty similar, we act the same, we have the same likes and dislikes. Hell even when I got lucky he was on the show because I wore his pants out and I wrestled in his gear.”
Ripley went on to preview what fans can expect to see when Judgment Day is on the show; she made it clear that the group will deliver show-stealing performances that will be hard to forget.
“I feel like every time we go out there, we run the whole show…,” said Ripley. “We take what we want and I don’t know exactly what’s gonna happen, but I do know that we are gonna steal the show and everyone is gonna remember the Judgment Day.”
