Jonah Rock (Bronson Reed) Makes Surprise Appearance At NJPW Battle In The Valley

Former-WWE NXT North American Champion Jonah Rock (formerly known in NXT as Bronson Reed) returned to New Japan Pro Wrestling on Saturday. Rock debuted at NJPW’s Battle In The Valley event. He initially teased a faceoff with IMPACT World Champion Moose, before attacking Juice Robinson.

“Now the shackles are off,” said the Australian super heavyweight, “you are looking at your top dog. Jonah is here.”

Rock was released from his contract with WWE in August, and had been teasing a return to action while he waited out his non-compete clause. There had been rumors that New Japan and other companies were making a play for the former-The Mighty Don’t Kneel member.

Rock would’ve been involved in IMPACT Wrestling’s Bound For Glory PPV in October but immigration issues caused those plans to fall through. The staredown with Moose suggests Rock is headed for the IMPACT Zone sooner, rather than later.

Rock last wrestled for NJPW in 2018, when the company was touring Australia.
