Keith Lee Released By WWE

Keith Lee has been released by WWE.

WWE made several cuts on Thursday, with Keith Lee being one of the names confirmed by Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp as being released by the company. According to Sapp, budget cuts were cited as the reason for the releases in an email sent to talent by John Laurinaitis.

Lee made his in-ring debut for NXT on April 5, 2018 during a WrestleMania Axxess session. He later made his “official” debut on NXT TV on August 8, defeating Marcel Barthel. Lee is a former NXT Champion and NXT North American Champion, holding each title once.

Keith Lee made his RAW debut on August 24. He ultimately missed nearly five months’ time in 2020, which was later confirmed by Lee himself to be related to heart issues related to a positive COVID-19 diagnosis. Lee returned to RAW on July 19, and recently had been using the name “Bearcat Lee” as his ring name.
