AEW Rampage Results (10/29/21)

On Friday Night, All Elite Wrestling delivered another edition of AEW Rampage. This week’s show featured some big matches, with Bryan Danielson taking on Eddie Kingston in a semifinal bout in the AEW World Championship Eliminator Tournament. In the main event, Britt Baker and Abadon rang in spooky season in a Trick or Treat Match.

AEW Rampage (10/29/21) Results:

  • Bryan Danielson def. Eddie Kingston – AEW World Championship Eliminator Tournament
    • The match, as expected, was incredibly hard-hitting. Near the end of the bout, Kingston hit his signature Spinning Back Fist, but he failed to capitalize. Danielson ultimately won the contest when he trapped Kingston in a modified triangle choke and elbowed him in the head until the referee had no choice but to call for the bell.

  • Backstage, CM Punk has a scheduled confrontation with Tony Schiavone. “The Second City Saint” gets into a confrontation with Kingston when “The Mad King” gets in his face. Punk asks him if he “wants to go to sleep again,” referencing Kingston’s loss to Danielson, and backstage officials stop Kingston from physically escalating the conflict.
  • Dante Martin (with Lio Rush) defeated Matt Sydal
    • As with their previous bout, the two competitors trade fast-paced offense. Martin ultimately scores the clean victory without Rush’s direct help, though the broadcast team emphasizes Rush’s influence on Martin’s win nonetheless.

  • Trick Or Treat Match: Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. (with Rebel and Jamue Hayter) defeated Abadon
    • In honor of Halloween, Hayter and Rebel are dressed like zombies. Hayter and Rebel try to get involved early in the bout, but Abadon keeps fighting. Still, Baker drops Abadon with a swinging neckbreaker onto a table that doesn’t break. Later, Abadon slams the champion onto the tacks for a near fall. Baker throws a chair at Abadon and places it around her neck. She stomps Abadon, with the chair around her neck, but the challenger sits right back up. Baker blasts Abadon with a superkick, stuffs tacks into her mouth and superkick. “The Doctor” then goes for the Lockjaw, but Abadon bites her hand. Hayter attacks Abadon, and Rebel distracts her; Baker capitalizes and rolls Abadon up for the win.
