Tony Khan has never been afraid of calling out WWE for it’s business practices and the AEW President did just that last night following AEW Rampage. Next week. WWE Friday Night SmackDown will spill over into an added half-hour past it’s usual end at 10 PM ET, making it going directly head-to-head with next week’s Rampage. Khan took to Twitter to directly express his excitement for the opportunity:
“I saw you’re doing a half hour head-to-head with us. I can’t wait to finally beat your main show head-to-head. It’s been a long time coming,” Tony Tweeted.

An AEW fan expressed his concern for Khan’s statements firing back at him following next week due to WWE having Becky Lynch vs, Sasha Banks in that time slot, but Khan showed no concern, stating it is all in the name of competition.
“If I’m not sweating it, you shouldn’t be either,” Tony said. “This is what sports are about, set a goal & try your best. We’ve got a great AEW Rampage card Friday + big Dynamite matches Saturday. I expect to do well, but regardless of next Friday’s stats, it’ll be a great weekend for the fans.”

Khan does have quite the line-up for a live Rampage next week. CM Punk will be taking on Matt Sydal, Ruby Soho will be battling The Bunny and the main event will have The Inner Circle taking on The Men Of The Year with a debuting Junior dos Santos.
